An assessment is
conducted in the Client's home. Information on past and
present health conditions will be noted to determine the
level of care the client will need with his or her daily
living. We strive to match each client with a care provider who is best suited
their specific needs.

What if I don't like the
care provider ?
Our company hires
many care providers that have different levels of
experience and of course, they all have
different personalities. if for any reason, you are
uncomfortable or not satisfied with your care provider, we
will provide you with a new care provider until you are happy.

What is the cost ?
Our rates vary depending on the
amount of care needed. Different rates are offered for 2 hour
visit, 3 hour visit, 4 hour visit and a 24 hour live-in shift.

Do you accept insurance ?
Yes, we do accept
long term care insurance policies and will take
care of your billing concerns by contacting your
insurance carrier. If you do not have a long term care
policy, rates are then billed on a private cash basis.

Do I pay the care provider
for services?
No, you do not
pay the care provider. You will receive an invoice twice a
month. Care Providers are employees of our Company, therefore, we pay them and
account for their social security taxes and workers compensation.

Do you provide
service on weekends or holidays?
Yes we do provide service on weekends and holidays. We
provide service 24 hours a
day-7 days a week-365 days a year. However holidays are charged at a
slightly higher rate.

How do you monitor your care
providers?
Our Care Manager conducts routine
yet random unexpected visits on our Care Providers while they are caring for our
clients. This visit ensures quality care. During this visit, the care
provider will be evaluated on performance, attitude and charting.
Our Care Manager will also spend a few moments speaking with the client in
private. This allows the client to express any positive or
negative feedback.

How will I know the
progress of my loved one ?
Our care providers
are required to chart daily progress notes which include: vitals, medication charting, appetite, fluid in
put and out put, range of motion,
bathing or peri-care provided, general feeling of well being, and disposition
along with a list of daily housekeeping provided.

How are you different from
other companies?
Better Care Providers
offers you better care
providers though screening,
training and excellent care management. We are bonded
and insured. We are a locally family owned business and are heavily involved in
each case. Our office has created a resource
library for our Care Providers. This library contains several
videos, books, pamphlets, and a computer with internet access for
unlimited information on health and safety as it may
relate to our client's conditions. We offer in house CPR and First
Aid classes. We have also implemented an educational
program offered to the public on elderly abuse which is
facilitated by of one of own local police officers.
